BIOLOGY - PERIOD 5 - Thursday, September 20th

Please comment on the following (this was your Home Learning assignment which is due today):

Choose one of the 8 (eight) characteristics of life. In your opinion, explain how the tadpole expresses that characteristic.

Using 1 (one) complete sentence or more, state:
1) the characteristic you chose,
2) Why you selected this characteristic, and
3) How the tadpole expresses that characteristic.

Example:
The characteristic I chose was metamorphosis because I have been watching and drawing the tadpole during the past three classes. I have observed that it grows and develops, changing its body shape and size.

MRS.PROFENNO I'AM NOT GOING TO SCHOOL TOMMOROW SO I'LL LEAVE THE COMMENT RIGHT NOW.
I CHOOSE CELLS BECAUSE EVERY LIVENG THING HAS THEM AND THE TADPOLES EXPRESS THIS CHARACTERISTIC BY HAVING ORGANS WHICH ARE MADE UP OF CELLS

I picked EVOLUTION because the tadpoles are going to evolve into frogs.

I picked DNA.. because in a cell, is a molecule that passes on characteristics from one generation to the next (genetic code). Tadpoles expresses this characteristics by containing cells, and when they have babies, their babies will contain DNA from them.

i choose sexual and asexual reproduction because all living things reproduce.

Hello Ms.Profenno,I hope you're enjoying yourself and everythings going fine...well, I choose sexual and asexual reproduction for homework because in order to have tadpoles the adult frog would have to have sexual intercourse which would allow the female to reproduce,as for asexual reproduction the adult frog is reproducing tadpoles with her own charcteristics.
well, thats what i did ...enjoy your time!!!

STUDENTS!!!!!!!!!!

I AM SOOOOO Sorry!!!

Is anybody online now???

I inadvertently (which means by accident pushed a wrong button that locked everyone out from commenting around 11:00!!!

I just realized my mistake when I posted some comments to Period 3's class.

Everything is cool right now. You can post. Luckily, Period 5 is a small class. Spread the word that you can be up and posting. Just write a quick post that answers the questions so that everybody can have a chance to post.

After you've all posted, and if you are done with all the other work, feel free to add more comments. I've been here all morning, loving all the dialog.

Please give me a shout if you can see this!

Again, so sorry to cause you the stress and frustration. I am new at this blogging thing. I am learning. I made a mistake. I fixed it.

I look forward to reading your posts.

Ms. P

Heyyyy ms.profennnooo.[:

alrightt.. well i chose DNA because in a cell, is a molecule that apsses on characteristics from one generation to the next (genetic code). Alsooo, every living thing has cells and is based on a universal genetic code. Tadpoles express this characteristic by containing cells that contains DNA and when they have babies, their babies will get their DNA from them.
