Choose one of the 8 (eight) characteristics of life. In your opinion, explain how the tadpole expresses that characteristic.

1) the characteristic you chose,
2) Why you selected this characteristic, and
3) How the tadpole expresses that characteristic.
Example:
The characteristic I chose was metamorphosis because I have been watching and drawing the tadpole during the past three classes. I have observed that it grows and develops, changing its body shape and size.

what they do ms.profenno well i look at the tadpoles in what can i say they're are growing n developing very fast i hope tha fishes dont eat them all so that we can disect them in i also looked at the alge in there was a lot of bug in tha in little insects in them, in i also seen that there were different kind of snails in the alge that looked way different from other snails, in ia also did my class work in its all right so i hope u check my work cause i'll be waiting on your pen to give me a grade.Bye Ms.profenno in take care

Hey Ms. Profenno i looked at the tadpoles and from what i inferred they are developing very rapidly. Their also trying to catch up with the size of the goldfish in the tank.When I looked at the tadpoles on September 18th they looked alot smaller and moved around the tank alot slower. Im So Ready to Disect them but I'd wait until they turn into frogs. Well, I hope your havin a good time and your destination can't wait until you come back because I miss you! Okay later.

Hey Mrs. Profenno...Well today I did all of my work! I looked at the tad polls again. I saw that they were getting bigger every time i seen them...Later your gonna have to put a cover on the fish tank so they won't jump out. Well...to day i think the clsss did an good job on doing there work nobody gave the sub any problems. So i'll talk to you later hope your having fun!!!;-)

The tadpoles changed alot.They seem to have got bigger then tha last time wesaw them.Plus they are stank.And still eating otha fishes.
da tadpoles r developing vary fast im so shocked dat they get so bigg with so lil time but ive notice dat da tadpoles swim faster then they use 2 i guess da bigger they get da more faster they swim ,the tadpoles r also getting color ,they are a darker green color.

First of all let me say Hi Mz.Profenno, how iz your time so far in Utah ? Even though it's a convention I hope you have fun. The characteristic I chose Evolution. I chose evolution because we have been watching tadpoles and they are evolving into frogs even though that's not what were looking for. Like I said in the sentence before this one they are evolving into frogs.

Ok -So here's what I am dying to know:
How did class go today?
How was the time management? Like, were you able to complete the reading in Jumping Mouse, do the lab activity with the algae, and then blog and book work?
Or was there just too much reading so that you did not have time for the more active activities in class.
I know that class gets out in 5 minutes, if you want to, all gather round in the back by the computers and let's chat for a few minutes.
PS - Ask the sub his/her permission if you can share with me what his/her name is.
Why don't the fastest 5 bloggers hop on the back 5 computers to type for the class and we'll chat for the next 5 minutes.

How many of you saw the little bugs in the algae like 4609379 did?? I am going to teach you what those little bugs are and what their purpose is. I can't remember if it's next class or the one after.... I don't have the lesson plans memorized. I was HOPING that the students would see all the bugs. They have a name. Some are called zooplankton. (you know, like on sponge bob?) If you watch sponge bob, then you probably already know where they go in the food chain of marine life.

I know it's silent reading time, but do you think that the sub would let you all gather around the back computers and read my posts? One of the Teaching Assistants (sorry, your names are not on the wall yet... There are only a few minutes left in class. Let's not stress over getting the class organized. I want to you have enough time to make sure that the lab tables are all cleaned up and the petri dishes are away and that there is no TRASH on the floor. Please leave the room cleaner than when you found it this morning.

Think about it. Tell me if you think that there was TOO MUCH work assigned today and that you need those last 20 minutes of class to work. This is fine. What we can do then is gather around the computers after announcements and read together as a class -- You will read my posts and I will read your responses. Choose 5 good typists to sit at the computers to type for the class. If you want I can assign you a computer to stand around so everyone can at least be able to read the screen...
