Imagine you are a Biology teacher and have just returned from an academic conference. You walk into class and discover the following three situations. CHOOSE ONE and respond you would feel and what the consequences should be.
- You discover half a bottle of Ultra Concentrated dish detergent has been added to the fish tank; all the fish and plants are dead; half the tadpoles and the crayfish are alive.
- You discover the red emergency button has been pushed shutting off all power to the classroom outlets disabling: student computers, dissecting microscopes, fish tank filter, and, access to charge cell phones.
- You discover many of your desks, walls and computers have black permanent marker, pen or pencil graffiti on them.

The crime scene that i choose was the one that is about the grafitty one. I choose this one because that is not having respect to others property. I will make all my students clean over and over and then make them wite an essay.

I'll post about the graffiti. Honestly, the graffiti itself doesn't bother me... I'm used to it.. This is Homestead, and we live in a ghetto area... We grew up around this throughout our whole lives. we're used to it..
But, if you are really that upset about it, and you find out who did it, make them put graffiti on their things and see how they like it... Maybe that sounds a little rough, or harsh, but that's just me...

Upset that the fishes died, but also upset that the students didn't know how to behave while i was gone. Also, its sad to know that you can't trust the students alone with a substitute.
If i were to discover whoever did that, i wouldn't punish them severely.. i would have a long talk with them. Yea, yell at them and give them detention so i could yell at them more. haha. but they should be scared half to death, they deserve it. The graffiti makes the room look dirty and represents the amount of respect the students have for the class room which if they wrote on the desks is none. I think the students should be punnished by having to clean up the graffiti around the room.

The dead fish would make me angry at the person who did it and sorry for the fish. I guess the most appropriate punishment is have the person who killed the fish buy new ones using his own money and if he/she doesn't, they will recieve 12 z's. If they do buy them they will not recieve any grades.

i would feel really mad because now i can't do my work because of someone who pushed the button.
what would you do? i would tell who ever did it that your wrong for trying to mess up something that isn't yours.
i feel bad, mad,and upset i think that the consequence should be not having any more fish in the class or not letting them get close to the fish and make them buy new ones....

If iI was my biology teacher and discovered that the red emergency botton had been pushed...
I would feel disappionted because a fun activity that could benefit the class could not get done.
The consequences should be figuring out who did it and find out if they knew the effect of pushing it, if they didnt i would try to educate them about it.
If I discover that the red buttom was pushed i will feel disappointed. The way i will deal with it will be to figure out who did it and make sure they understand that it was wrong and hopefully they will learn from their mistakes.
i feel like the students arent being fair with you or everybody else because youve given us so much freedom and have treated us with respect and like young adults.
